Eliminate stubborn fat deposits to regain your ideal body shape

Fat that builds up in certain areas of the body can often prove stubbornly resistant to weight loss methods like dieting or exercise, frustrating attempts to achieve a balanced body shape.

Mr Tiryaki determines the liposuction technique that will produce the best results by analysing the patient’s skin elasticity and the volume of the fat that must be removed.

What Is Liposuction?

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that aims to remove this resistant fat tissue, efficiently reshaping the body’s contours to permanently even out fat distribution and eliminate stubborn lumps and bulges.
This procedure is safely and frequently performed on the abdomen, hips, legs, knees, waist, back, ankles, arms or under-jaw area.
Liposuction may also be called body sculpting, body contouring, suction lipectomy, laser lipo, VASER lipo, or RF lipo. Despite the different names, these all refer to essentially the same procedure: permanently removing excess fat in certain areas of the body and reshaping the body to the desired form.

Fine cannulas and tiny incisions guarantee a scar-free result.

How is a Liposuction performed?

After carefully considering the patient’s desires and goals, Mr Tiryaki determines the liposuction technique that will produce the best results by analysing the patient’s skin elasticity and the volume of the fat that must be removed.

Before surgery, Mr Tiryaki marks the areas where liposuction will be performed. The patient is then put under general anaesthesia or sedation. The procedure is carried out via incisions that are about three to four millimetres in length. These are just large enough to allow the insertion of fine cannulas, through which the fat is gently removed.

How long is the recovery after a Liposuction?

The patient may return home the same day and can usually return to all daily activities within one or two days.

Elastic compression garments, which enable the tissue to adapt to its relocation more smoothly, should be worn for about three weeks

Frequently Asked Questions

As with all surgical procedures, patients must abstain from taking blood thinners and limit both alcohol consumption and smoking as much as possible. Ideally, a patient should abstain entirely from smoking and drinking alcohol in the last couple of days preceding surgery.

The procedure takes between 60 and 90 minutes and is usually performed under general anaesthesia. There is no need for an overnight hospital stay. The length of the operation will depend on the number of areas and the volume of fat subject to extraction.

The patient can return home the same day and return to all daily activities within one or two days. You will need to wear special compression garments for three weeks following the operation. These will be provided to you. Patients usually experience minimal pain, which can easily be relieved using simple painkillers. Any bruising should resolve after about two weeks. You may resume light exercise after one week. It takes six to eight weeks for the swelling to fully subside and the true results of the operation to appear. As with all surgical procedures, you should stop smoking for the duration of the two weeks following the operation, and you should not participate in any activities that will increase blood pressure.

Liposuction permanently removes fat cells from the body. There are no risks associated with repeated liposuction procedures, but they are generally unnecessary. Even if the patient gains weight again, the weight will distribute evenly, in line with the post-operative body shape, instead of building up in stubborn fat deposits.

Yes, liposuction can be combined with many other operations. Mr Tiryaki can help you explore your options and decide on an ideal approach during the consultation.

Contrary to popular assumptions, liposuction is a largely painless procedure. Any minor pain from bruising or oedema after the surgery can be treated easily with simple painkillers. As the surgery is performed using fine cannulas, the incisions are tiny and will not scar.

Liposuction can be performed in any season. However, the compression garments that patients must wear for three weeks after surgery may be uncomfortable for patients who need to be outdoors in extremely hot weather. The patient will be most comfortable if the healing period can be spent in a cool environment. Swimming in the sea or in a pool is not a problem after liposuction surgery.
