Tatler Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery Guide 2026

I am truly honoured to be featured in the Tatler Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery Guide 2026 as one of the Top Doctors for Faces. Tatler has long been a benchmark for excellence in aesthetic medicine, and to be recognised among peers I deeply respect is both humbling and affirming. It reflects not only the work I do, but the philosophy that has guided my practice for decades: that facial surgery should restore, regenerate and respect individuality, never erase it.

A Lifelong Passion for Regenerative Medicine

From the beginning of my career, I have been driven by a fascination with the body’s own ability to heal and renew itself. Long before “regenerative medicine” became a fashionable term, I was exploring how we could harness the biological potential within our own tissues to improve surgical outcomes. Fat grafting, stem cells and tissue regeneration are not trends to me - they are the future of facial surgery, and they have always been my passion.

Fat Grafting: Beyond Simple Volume

Today, around 95% of my facial surgery cases involve fat transfer. Fat is not simply a filler. It is a living tissue rich in regenerative cells that can restore volume, improve skin quality and revitalise the face in three dimensions. Ageing is not just about sagging; it is about deflation, bone loss and changes in skin biology. A truly natural result requires us to address all of these layers. By using fat grafting as a central tool, I am able to rebuild structure, soften contours and rejuvenate the face in a way that looks authentic and harmonious.

Regenerating Bone and Structural Foundations

Regenerative techniques also extend beyond soft tissue. One of the most exciting frontiers of my work is bone regeneration. Facial ageing is closely linked to skeletal changes, particularly around the eyes, jaw and midface. Supporting the face from its foundation allows us to achieve more durable and balanced results. This approach moves facial surgery away from simply pulling and tightening and towards rebuilding and restoring what time has taken away.

The Future of Non-Surgical Regeneration

What excites me most about this field is that it is constantly evolving. We are entering an era where non-surgical regenerative treatments are becoming increasingly powerful. Technologies such as UltraClear laser and the emergence of bio fillers offer new ways to stimulate collagen, improve skin quality and subtly restore volume without surgery. These innovations allow us to intervene earlier, more gently and more preventatively. I see them not as replacements for surgery, but as complementary tools within a broader strategy of facial preservation.

Restoring, Not Changing Faces

Despite these advances, my guiding principle has never changed: I do not aim to change faces, I aim to restore them. The best result is one that is invisible. Friends may say a patient looks rested, fresher or healthier, but they should never say they look “done”. A face tells the story of a person’s life, and that story deserves respect. My role is not to rewrite it, but to support it.

Patient Selection: Precision and Ethics

This philosophy also informs my approach to patient selection, which I consider one of the most important aspects of my work. I turn away a significant number of patients. Some are simply too young and pthers are not yet suitable candidates for the procedure they are seeking. Surgery should never be a reflex or a response to passing trends. It must be appropriate, justified and capable of achieving a truly meticulous result. If I cannot deliver that, I will not operate.

Collaboration and Individualised Planning

Facial surgery is not something I do to a patient; it is something I do with them. I believe deeply in collaboration. Every patient begins their journey with a thorough and thoughtful consultation, where we explore their concerns, their anatomy, their expectations and their lifestyle. There is no single “facelift” - there are many different types, from deep plane techniques to less invasive approaches, each suited to different faces and stages of ageing. The treatment plan must be as individual as the patient themselves.

Building Trust Through the Journey

This collaborative journey builds trust, and trust is essential. Facial surgery requires precision, patience and a shared understanding of what success looks like. It is not about chasing perfection; it is about achieving balance and harmony.

Practising Across London and Istanbul

I am privileged to practise in two centres of excellence: The Cadogan Clinic in London and my clinic in Istanbul. Operating across these two cities allows me to work with diverse patient populations and to exchange ideas with international colleagues. It also reinforces the universal nature of facial ageing regardless of culture or background, the principles of anatomy, regeneration and proportion remain the same.

Optimism for the Future

Being recognised by Tatler is meaningful because it acknowledges a body of work built over time. It reflects not just surgical technique, but a philosophy rooted in science, ethics and restraint. It also validates the direction in which I believe facial surgery must go: towards regeneration rather than replacement, towards restoration rather than reinvention.

Looking ahead, I am deeply optimistic. The future of facial aesthetics lies in combining surgical excellence with biological intelligence. We will continue to move away from artificial materials and towards the patient’s own tissues. We will rely more on stimulation than substitution, more on regeneration than camouflage. This will lead to results that age better, feel better and respect the integrity of the face.

A Simple Goal: Helping Patients Be Their Best Selves

Ultimately, my work is driven by a simple goal: to help patients feel like themselves again - not younger versions of someone else, but healthier, fresher versions of who they already are. To be recognised by Tatler in this context is not just an honour, but a responsibility. It reminds me that excellence in facial surgery is not measured by dramatic transformations, but by quiet confidence, subtlety and longevity.

I am grateful to my patients, whose trust makes this work possible, and to my colleagues who continually inspire innovation and refinement. To be featured in the Tatler Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery Guide 2026 is an honour, but more importantly, it is a reminder of why I chose this path: to work with the body’s own healing power, to restore rather than alter and to practise facial surgery as both a science and an art.
