WHICH AREAS OF THE BODY ARE TREATED WITH LUMECCA?
Lumecca can be used in all parts of the body. The most common areas of treatment are the areas exposed to sun. These usually include face, neck, décolletage, legs, upper side of the hands and arms.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE THE TREATMENT?
It is important to avoid direct or excessive exposure to sun or tanning as of 1 month before the treatment.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING OR AFTER THE LUMECCA TREATMENT?
Bright lights coming from Lumecca during the treatment give you a slight sense of flash of light. Skin redness and slight warm feeling on the skin is normal after the treatment and usually passes within 1 hour. You can see your spot pigments getting a darker color within 24-48 hours after the treatment. The exfoliation of the pigmented lesions, which is the last stage in skin tone darkness, will be observed during the following week. After the treatment of vascular lesions, you can observe the veins getting whiter and disappearing, or the color change that will disappear after a few days.
HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED FOR LUMECCA TREATMENT?
Improvement in the appearance of the skin is noticed from the first treatment session. Further sessions will show even better results. The treatment method depends on the severity of skin damage, the type of treatment (vascular, sun damage, etc.) and energy settings.
WHEN ARE THE EFFECTS OF LUMECCA TREATMENT OBSERVED?
The results of treatments for sun damage and skin tone are observed a few days after the first treatment session. The skin will continue to appear younger and brighter over time with the most visible results in 1-2 weeks after the treatment. Having more than one IPL treatment session will have a positive impact on the outcome. Results can be seen quickly in up to 2 weeks in vascular treatments such as spider veins or leg veins.
DOES THE LUMECCA TREATMENT HAVE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Most patients do not observe any side effects. Any skin reaction that may be seen usually passes within a few hours. Patients may feel sensitivity to sunlight immediately after the treatment. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight.
