BREAST LIFT

Turn back the clock 10-15 years and see a natural-looking and
beautiful you in the mirror.

Facial aging starts at the peak of our youth, and manifests itself first with a deep volume loss. As we lose our
facial bone volume, our skin starts attenuating as well. The art of natural facial rejuvenation is a balanced
reversal of this volume loss using our own tissue and relocation of the attanuated skin and muscles back to
their original locations. Subtle refinements, emphasising natural and harmonious results will restore our
self-confidence while retaining the essential character of the face.

Dr Tiryaki has both a discerning eye for the many aspects of facial beauty, and the
many years of experience necessary to ensure a natural and beautiful result.

HOW IS A BREAST AUGMENTATION PERFORMED?

There are two different methods by which breast augmentation can be performed.  The first is to use the patient’s own fat to add volume and natural shape.

The second, more popular option is to use soft, natural-feeling implants for the same purpose.

The range of implants available today is much broader than in years past, and modern silicone implants are extremely soft and durable, enabling an entirely natural-looking result.

During the procedure, which is performed under general anaesthesia, Dr. Tiryaki will inject a local anaesthetic to reduce bleeding and postoperative pain and then make a small incision at the inframammary fold, at the bottom of the breast. After preparing an appropriate pocket, the implants will be placed within. Once the desired shape and size is achieved, the skin will be closed with absorbable sutures. The scars remain hidden within the inframammary fold.

Mini facelift is a lighter, less invasive surgery that produces a younger looking you
most people feel they look around 10 years younger, but still themselves
reversing the natural signs of ageing that commonly take place during your 40s and 50s.

How are the implants selected for the surgery?

Important factors in choosing the appropriate implants include the age, height, and physical features of the patient, the shape of the rib cage, and the shape and size of the breast. During the consultation process, Dr. Tiryaki will discuss the type of implant required for the best outcome.  With the use of 3D imaging technology, the patient can see what the best options are and how the breasts will look post-surgery.  It is important to note that the placement of the implant and the type of implant used can alter the outcome, so the consultation process is extremely important.

The new generation of implants, known as Life Time implants, are very resistant to pressure and impact. Neither time nor other factors such as pregnancy should cause a need for replacement.

Dr. Tiryaki uses two different types of Life Time implants. One of them is round and the other is a drop-shaped implant. Rounded silicones make the upper breast look fuller, whereas drop-shaped silicones lift the breast more from below and create very natural-looking results. Life Time implants are designed to be almost the same consistency as the breast tissue so that they move easily with the body and feel natural to the touch

How is a Mini Facelift performed?

With the mini-facelift, incisions are much shorter (resulting in smaller scars) and rather than lifting the skin (the standard technique for a full face-lift) SMAS and the muscles are restored to their original position. This is very important, since it is the main factor to achieve natural looking results.

In addition, fat tissue restoration and regenerative cell treatments can be used to restore elasticity resulting in a younger appearance without changing the patients’ natural expression.

The procedure usually takes between 1 and 1.5 hours and is performed using local anaesthesia and sedation. General Anaesthesia is usually not required for this procedure, however, Dr Tiryaki may recommend an overnight stay in hospital if it is best for your recovery.

Post-operative recovery is relatively fast with bandages being removed in around 2 days and your normal day to day routine can be resumed within 7-10 working days.
Post-operative pain is rare and any discomfort is handled with simple painkillers. It is normal for there to be some bruising, but this is minor.

Who should consider the Mini-Facelift?

A mini-facelift is an ideal option for patients around 40’s, who are already tired of fillers or afraid of having overfilled faces. For those patients, a mini-facelift can be the most natural-looking and long-lasting facial rejuvenation.

What if you need more?

A full-facelift, with incisions starting inside the temples or scalp which usually necessitates a deep general anaesthesia is usually not preferred by Dr. Tiryaki. Just for a single fact, it is not necessary anymore. In the early periods of facial aging, most of the problems may be solved very easily and naturally with a mini-lift. If the patients show signs of aging on the neck as well, Dr. Tiryaki might prefer to add a neck-lift to the initial mini-lift to cure all signs of facial skin sagging.Still, Face and Neck lift is a lighter version of traditional full-facelift, which will produce a much younger looking you (most people feel they look around 15 years younger) but still yourself. This approach does not necessitate general anaesthesia either. The operation is performed around the mid and lower face including the neck. Your own fat tissue is used to reverse the age related facial bone loss. Operational scars are mostly unnoticeable as they are hidden on anatomical creases in front and behind the ears and within the hairline. This is an innovative combination of mini facelift, neck lift and minimal fat grafting to sharpen the facial bone arches, make the face look more structured and V-shaped.

What other procedures can be combined with a Mini Facelift?

Dr. Tiryaki will determine the type of the procedure according to particular needs of patients. In some cases, eyelid surgery might be needed, which can be addressed by simple skin-only eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) to reduce the downtime and avoid the need for general anaesthesia. In many patients, the nose loses its projection and nose tip rotates down due to the midfacial bone resorption. In such cases, a 5-minutes top-on procedure called ‘’Tip Flip’’ can recreate the youthful nasal shape. Dr. Tiryaki also performs Revision Facelifts to correct problems of facelifts performed by other previous surgeons.

How long is the recovery after a Mini Facelift?

The first two days you shall expect to have a light dressing covering your ears and head. Dr. Tiryaki will remove the dressing usually after 48 hours and you will be advised to have your shower, wash your hair and face without any restrictions. The stiches will be removed after 10-12 days. Most patients are able to go back to work and their social life within 1 to 2 weeks after the swelling and bruising have subsided. Dr. Tiryaki will advise you as to when you can return to exercise or strenuous activities.

CONSULTATION FOR FACE LIFT

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

As with all surgical procedures, patients must abstain from taking blood thinners and limit both alcohol consumption and smoking as much as possible. Ideally, a patient should abstain entirely from smoking and drinking alcohol in the last couple of days preceding surgery. We recommend that all patients have a breast ultrasound or mammogram less than three months before a breast lift operation. If you are planning to have implants, you should also familiarise yourself with the associated risks, which include the possibility of capsular contracture or, in extremely rare cases, a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma called ALCL.

The procedure takes from 60 to 90 minutes and is performed under general anaesthesia. Patients can usually return home the same day.

There is no need for an overnight stay in the hospital. You may shower two to three days after the operation. Patients can usually return to work after three or four days, and can return completely to normal life after a week. We recommend wearing support or sport bras for three weeks following a breast lift. Dr. Tiryaki will suggest the most suitable option. The sutures will dissolve on their own and do not need to be removed. As with all surgical procedures, you should stop smoking for the duration of the two weeks following the operation, and you should not participate in any activities that will increase blood pressure.

Patients may experience mild to moderate pain in the first few days after surgery. This can be managed with simple painkillers. You may also experience some swelling, numbness in the nipple, and slight bruising, all of which should resolve within a few days.

Dr. Tiryaki prefers to use Life Time dual plane silicones, which are resistant to wear, tear, and deformation, and can therefore last for life.

Breast augmentation surgery will not prevent breastfeeding. The procedure is performed without coming into contact with the milk glands or ducts.
